Lost and Found

An old woman lost a coin
She looked everywhere she could
In every nook and cranny
In every place she looked.

She swept the floor with her broom
Sweeping dust around the room
Hoping her coin would be found
Shiny coin, small and round

But then the woman, feeling tired
Sat upon her chair
And spied something shiny
And couldn’t help but stare.

Yes, it was the coin
Shining by the door
Up from her chair, she picked it up
And placed it safely in the drawer

We are like that lost coin
Jesus is looking for
We hope he finds us and when he does
We’re found and lost no more.
