I’m special
     by Sue Seaman
I live in a large house
In a town, with all my friends
We enjoy going to our day centre on the bus
But I find it hard to join in the games

So mostly I sit and watch
I like to laugh - but I also cry
I have feelings just like you

My carers are loving, giving and kind
They understand what’s on my mind
They are there to help me bath and to help me get dressed
I am truly grateful to them - and also very blessed.

If I could tell God how much I love them
This is what I’d say

Thank You Jesus, for the people here
And thank You too, for working through those people
Who work so hard and care
For me and for my friends, that also live here

I love You Jesus, you are my helper and my guide
And thank You Lord for You are ever by my side
I pray for people in foreign lands
That they will come to understand
That those who are special will one day be changed
When Jesus comes to earth to reign.

We will have new bodies - and so will you too
For Jesus said that’s one of the things that He would do

A new body, a new mind
And new eyes for those who are blind
New tongues for those who cannot talk
New legs for those who cannot walk
New ears for those who cannot hear
And God will wipe away each tear
New strength for those who feel weak
God’s Kingdom’s at hand to those who seek
The list goes on what God will do
For he loves me as much as He loves you.

God is Love

Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. 4 (John 9 vv 1-3)
